+Nick B It's not just for cars, you can talk all over the country during the right conditions with just 4 watts of power. If you are willing to be a little shady then with a lot O' power you can talk around the world.
I still have my cobra classic ltd with a 75 watt amp... I use it when I'm going to texas. I think when cell phone towers fail....CBs are the save communication tool....... good video...
your right about cbradio its better than a cell phone when it goes down how your gonna get. a message or????? put your radios back on ....
I think it depends where your at how popular cb is in elpaso they have them on i always have mine on when I lived there. now its like its dead here in calf except near truck stops. I love my cb ...
I love CB radio, I have my radio in the car
Talk faster. Dammit.
Three words, safe following distance, enough said. I don't want to hear all the other BS.
I love cb radio and ham radio .have them in my apt. and in my car. 73 for now..
Here in Dubai we are jeep we go to dunes without radio its not fun ..
whispers I ain't got no panties on
I see it exactly that way. Thank you for your video. I like your videos , because of its good image quality . Good idea to film also the road.
I have a radio in my car as well, one time I alerted a driver that one of his gates was open, tail lights not working, in the summer time I let them know if their chains are dragging and creating sparks (wild fire potential) I drive a lot in mountain areas (UT,WY,MT,ID) and really appreciate the road condition up dates. Main reaso I installed it, was for emergencies, a lot of mountain regions have lousy to no cell phone connections, should I ever land in a ditch, there's guaranteed a truck coming through eventually and close enough to hear my call (providing its on, lol) I've had some nice conversations and only every once in a great while I get talked down to because I'm "just" a four wheeler, but that's easy enough to ignore....since I take more frequent breaks  and on long drives I tend to pass the same truck 2 or 3 times, my standard routine is " hey driver, we've GOT to stop meeting like this.... people will talk".... it usually gets a chuckle out of them. :) good video. stay safe out there.
I'm gonna be starting school in a couple weeks to get my CDL. I've been watching a lot of truck driving videos on YouTube the last couple weeks. I just have one question. Why do Swift drivers take such a beating? I see it all the time on Facebook, other social media sites, and in a lot YouTube videos. Makes me not want to get a job with that company, lol. I've never heard anything positive about Swift
Good points, +Steven Allington. I'm not a trucker but when I go on long trips I like to throw a CD in my vehicle for the very reasons you mentioned - let's me know what's coming up or why there is a backup, etc.  I would imagine that for a trucker that would be even more true. Well said.
BTW good video.
Hope to talk with you I run in middle Tennessee and go by Drag Racer. Like you it is almost always on.
Ive been driving for 15 years and I agree, any one that doesn't have a cb in the cab, are stupid. saves lives and time.
I wish everyone used their CB radios. Would make listening to 27.185 on my scanner more interesting come on.
